Zantu is a translation and communication service operated by Marcel Renes ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we process when you use the Zantu website and mobile app, and why. The short version: we only process what is needed to make translation work, we do not show ads, and we never sell your data.

Translations, transcriptions and spoken audio are produced by AI models. To do this, the content you submit (text, audio, photos) is sent over an encrypted connection to the following processors: OpenAI (speech to text), Anthropic via OpenRouter (translation), and Google Cloud (text to speech, image text recognition). These providers process the content to deliver the result and are contractually restricted from using API data to train their models. We send them only the content itself, never your name or email address.
We use Brevo to send account emails (registration, approval, password reset). Our servers are hosted at DigitalOcean. All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
No advertising, no advertising ID, no selling or renting of personal data, no tracking across other apps or websites, no processing beyond what this policy describes.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Deleting your account removes your account data and your chat messages. For any request, email info@zantu.app. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Zantu is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date.
